A. Vogel Ivy Thyme Complex

This unique combination of herbs is one of Alfred Vogel’s original remedies. Ivy, thyme and liquorice are all familiar to many of us as herbal remedies.

Thyme is used in cooking all round the world and is also used as a herbal remedy for a number of conditions. Liquorice is recognised as a tasty treat. It is part of many Eastern dishes, drinks and sweets and has been used traditionally in both Chinese and European medicine.

Benefits:

• Due to the essential oil, the herb contains bronchial antispasmodic and expectorant properties which makes it useful in treatment of chronic as well as acute bronchitis, upper respiratory tract inflammation, and whooping cough.
• Ivy thyme can also enhance the functioning of the bronchi’s cilia, also affecting the bronchial mucosa or lifting phlegm off the chest.
• Thyme’s terpenoids provide the herb with its expectorant properties while the flavonoids in the herb provide thyme with its spasmolytic effects.

Ingredients:
Contains the tinctures of fresh Hedera helix (ivy) herb 40%, Thymus vulgaris (Thyme) herb 35%, Glycyrrhiza glabra (Sweet Root) dried root 24.875%, Aniseed Essential Oil 0.075%, Eucalyptus Essential Oil 0.05% Extracted in alcohol: 48% v/v.

Directions: 
Adults: 15 drops in a little water, 2 to 3 times daily.
Children (2-12 years): 1 drop per year of age in a little water, 2 to 3 times daily.
This product is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.
