A good skincare routine goes a long way - there is no doubt about that! It makes your skin feel healthy, fresh, radiant and clean and can slow down its aging process. In today's blogpost I am going to share my favourite go-to products that I've been using for my own skincare routine.
STEP 1: Remove Make-Up
I can't go to bed without doing my evening skincare routine! I see is as my daily ritual. As soon as I get home from work I like to remove my make-up because I like my skin to feel like it can breathe again. It really helps me feel more relaxed and I find it easier to unwind from the busy day just gone. I use the Kinvara Cleansing Oil which you can link to here. I like a smoky eye look and I use waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This remover deals with the heavy make-up so well
STEP 2: Cleanse
Once my face is make-up-free it's time to cleanse it with the Trilogy Cleansing Cream. I love this cleanser because it makes my entire skin feel squeaky clean. It's so gentle and also preps my skin for further steps of my routine. Cleansing your skin from make-up and everyday debris is super important if you aim to have a beautiful breakout-free complexion. Your skin can feel a little bit 'tight' after cleansing and that's why the key is to moisturise which is going to be my next step so let's get onto that
I used to skip this step and only recently added it into my routine but I have found it makes a massive difference if I use a serum. The product I like to apply to my skin after thorough cleansing is Dublin Herbalists Hydrating Face Serum. It makes my skin feel soft and fresh and adds to the much-needed moisturising process. If your skin needs extra moisturising I really recommend using a serum along with a day and night cream and I promise you will really notice a difference.
STEP 3: Eye Cream

STEP 4: Moisturiser
Next step: MOISTURISE! Depending on the time of the day I use either a day or night cream. The day cream I love is the Kinvara Rosehip Day Cream. It's a powerful moisturiser but it also makes a great base if I want to apply some make-up afterwards. For nighttime I like to use something a little bit thicker that will work to replenish my skin overnight. I use two products interchangeably and they are the Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream and Trilogy Replenishing Night Cream but it's okay to just stick to one of those products too!

STEP 5: Lip Care
Last but not least, I like to give my lips the attention they deserve! Especially in the winter time because my lips tend to get so dry... It's a common problem in the colder months and a lot of people forget to look after their lips. I find the Dublin Herbalists Lip Balms brilliant and I always put it on before I go to sleep. I use it during the day on my days off when I don't wear make-up. I wear lipstick during the day so I don't apply the lip balm in daytime but you totally can if you don't like to wear lipstick
Sometimes I need to take a break from a matte lip, though, because they just get too dry. I like to switch to Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balms because they moisturise my lips but also add some colour to them - double win! And they also have a fab range of colours - you can check for yourself!
I hope you found this blogpost helpful and perhaps inspiring to change your skincare routine and try some new products.
